About A2tor
We are a free virtual tutoring program started by Ann Arbor high schoolers to provide free virtual tutoring and other educational programming opportunities for Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti area middle and elementary school students. Our tutoring team believes that everyone should have access to fun opportunities that promote academic growth. Our mission is to provide these services while eliminating barriers such as financial and transportation issues that may hinder access to academic resources.
What We Do
We are excited to work with students throughout this upcoming school year, both during one-on-one sessions and in our weekly group and workshop offerings. Individual sessions are intended for families who would be put under financial stress accessing paid tutoring services. In individual sessions, tutors can help with school work and content related to specific classes, or do general enrichment activities tailored to the specific student's age, ability level, and interests. Regardless of whether they qualify for individual sessions, all students are able to access group enrichment and homework opportunities. These classes are scheduled to begin in October of 2020 and will include math, reading, writing, and homework help. Of note is our homework help group for native Spanish speakers.
